We are thrilled to share that our paper-backed braids have been recognised for excellence by The English Home magazine as part of their prestigious New Year's Honours Awards.

In the "Distinctive Designs" category, our braids were celebrated for offering the "perfect final flourish", seamlessly blending archival charm with innovative updates.  This recognition highlights our commitment to merging timeless elegance with contemporary style.

The history of wallpaper borders dates back to the 18th century when they were originally used to conceal the rough edges of early wallpapers.  Although their popularity waned during the Industrial Revolution due to the rise of mass-produced wallpaper, the Jazz Age brought them back to the spotlight.  During the Art Deco movement, these borders became a key design element, adding bold, angular patterns that were considered strikingly modern at the time.

Today wallpaper borders are experiencing a resurgence, celebrated for their versatility and decorative appeal.  They can be used to highlight architectural features, complement or contrast paintwork, or stand alone as a distinctive design statement transforming a space without the need to wallpaper every wall.

We are honoured that our designs continue this legacy while bringing fresh creativity to the world of interiors.
